     Wendell Anderson has been operating his own freelance practice since 1993. He is well versed in Chicago, APA, MLA, AMA, AP, and general business styles, as well as British and Canadian English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage. 
     He has a B.A. in linguistics from the University of Minnesota and is currently enrolled in a course to earn a certificate as a biomedical communicator through the American Medical Writers Association.
     Besides editing and writing, he teaches an online certificate course, Copyediting I, for the University of California San Diego Extension. He taught credit courses in grammar, writing, proofreading, and business communications for 11 years at Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon. 
     He is a member of the American Medical Writers Association; the Editorial Freelancers Association; the Northwest Independent Editors Guild; the American Copy Editors Society; the National Council of Teachers of English; and the Oregon Council of Teachers of English.
     Wendell lives in Eugene, Oregon, with Susan, his wife of 33 years.
